Apple-Strawberry Steel Oats

Fresh fruit takes this breakfast to a new level.  I like to make a larger batch of oats so I have the cooked portion ready for future use.  Oats freeze well.  By the way – eating through the layers is the best part.

Apple-Strawberry Steel Oats

4 strawberries, sliced – for each serving
1 Tbsp brown sugar or stevia (to taste) – for each serving
1/4 cup of milk (dairy, almond, soy), if desired – for each serving
