Do you like makeovers? Do like to save money? Then the next time you think something is no longer of use – ask yourselves if there is anyway to repurpose that item.
This was a question I asked myself years ago as my 12-year-old daughter wanted to update her room. One of the items that no longer worked was a wall desk my dad had made for her several years before. A few products (sandpaper, spray paint, stencils and new hardware) and some elbow grease produced…
…… a unique place to showcase the tea cup and saucer collection my aunt had recently handed down to me.
I believe God will give us the desires of our heart. I also believe that he wants us to be respectful of the financial provision available to us. At this time in my life I had the privilege of being a stay at home mom so I had more time than money. Going out and buying a beautiful piece of furniture for a place to store tea cups was not an option – not complaining – just explaining. And you know I wouldn’t have it any other way because our family continues to enjoys a piece of furniture my dad made and over the years I have enjoyed having guests choose a cup and saucer for their tea as they search the shelves.

That’s a lovely keepsake!
Thank you, Debbie. I so agree. Have a nice day and thanks for leaving a comment.
