Deliciously Inspired & Jessica Vaughn

A Few Words from Debbie @ Deliciously Inspired:

Let me introduce you to Jessica Vaughn.  She is an encouraging and knowledgable young woman with a heart for coming along those that are interested in building a healthy lifestyle. I have been Facebook buddies with Jessica for approximately two years and although one of her businesses is BeachBody (which has a great product line) I have never once felt as if her interest in me depends on whether I buy something from her which is good because I never have.  Believe me her business success does not depend upon the revenue I could provide her 🙂  One more thing – she is also a woman who has a heart for God and I am currently using a book she recommended  which is stellar.  If you want to check it out it is called “Food, Fitness and Faith for Women – A 21 Day Journey to a New You”  It can be purchased through Amazon.

DI – Jessica – how would you describe  yourself?

JV – I am a 25-year-old entrepreneur who enjoys encouraging people in the areas of fitness, eating, financial and faith.  I love my job which is more than I could have ever dreamed for.

DI – Can you expand a little about your job?

JV – Sure.  After 8 years I was able to leave my full time job of 8 years to pursue my own businesses full time – 1. Fitness Coach 2. Lift and Live which is a fitness studio in my basement which allows me to teach fitness classes, hold workshops, train clients, etc.   I don’t say this to brag but to hopefully encourage – my income continued to grow and in 2012 I was able to pay off over $40,000.00 in debt all the while doing what I love to do.

DI –  That’s impressive.  For those interested Jessica has that part of her story on her blog.  Will you share something exciting that has happened to you lately?

JV – I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with one of my favorite mentors, Sandi Krakowski.

DI – That must have been very special. Mentoring combined with a teachable heart inspires us to grow.  I myself can name women who have come into my life that God used to grow me; and I’ll be forever thankful for the time they invested in me.  Can you speak to the importance of mentoring?

JV – Mentoring is important because in order to grow into our full potential we need to learn from those who have already done what we are seeking out to do. You can have a spiritual mentor, a business mentor and so on! They keep you uplifted with positive thoughts and give you hope for the future!

DI – Well said.  What would you say your passion is?

JV – Helping people see their true potential.  I want people to use the talents God has given them to inspire the world.

DI – What inspires you to grow in that passion?

JV – When I see so many people everyday comparing themselves to others and living in depression, it makes me work that much harder towards my mission of impacting one person a a time.

DI – Your blog has many amazing resources.  Is there one you could share with us?

JV – Of course. I have several workout guides ranging from flat abs to energizing your day for those that don’t know where to start which can be found at

DI – Jessica – I know you are a strong woman of faith that looks to God for guidance.  As we close, is there a scripture that means a lot to you?

JV – Ephesians 6:10-18 – New International Version (NIV) – The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
