A cute bank can encourage us to save for what is important by providing a place to painlessly collect our pennies, nickels, dimes and an occasional dollar bill or two. I bought this bank before my daughter was married several years ago. It has served many purposes but we currently have it sitting near our dining room table and use it to collect money to contribute to our grandson’s college fund.
You may be surprised how fast these small amounts add up plus you can decorate seasonally by placing a colored ribbon around the bank.
Here are some other fun uses for a bank:
Trying to meet a nutritional or weight goal – put a designated amount every time you reach a mini goal. Then use the money for a treat.
To save for a family outing.
A fund to supplement Christmas shopping.
