A soy reduction is easy to make and works well anytime you want to add another layer of flavor – drizzle on grilled fish, cooked veggies or place a thin layer in the bottom of a salad bowl. A sauce that can be used over fish, chicken, cooked veggies or in a salad
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce or tamari sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon each minced garlic and ginger
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp of sesame seed oil
- salt and pepper

Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a small saucepan, heat and reduce until syrupy; drizzle through a strainer

Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan
After reduction – place through a small mesh colander. This will catch all the small pieces of ginger and garlic.
