I found the cutest idea to make paper butterflies on Pinterest. The link is listed below. I then used one of my butterflies on a recycled plain brown gift bag enhanced. Amazing what scrapbook paper, double back tape, ribbon, a hole punch, scissors and a sticker or stamp can do to enhance something plain to spectacular.
Choose a scrapbook paper and cut the dimensions a little smaller than the measurement of your bag front.
Place double back tape to back of paper and adhere to front of bag.
Using double back tape adhere paper butterfly to front of bag.
Gift Tag – Measure a piece of plain paper to fit your sticker and leave room for a hole punch. Then double the length so you’ll be able to fold in half. Adhere your sticker to front of tag and punch hole for ribbon. Fold a length of ribbon or crochet thread also works great in half forming a loop. Push the loop through the hole. Then thread the loose ends through the loop and pull to secure.
If your bag has a handle, the gift tag can be tied to handle. If not fold down paper bag and hole punch so that ribbon of tag can be tied on.
