Peeling an Orange (Nature’s Candy)

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make life brighter – having the right tool in the kitchen, finding the right word to speak to help someone understand what you are feeling,  just taking the time to realize that you are standing in a place of beauty and nothing is expected of you in that moment except to BE or learning an easy way to peel an orange. 

First  – you’ll needed an orange.

 Second – cut off the ends of the orange.

 Third – Make 5 or 6 gentle cuts through the orange with a sharp knife.

Summer Refresher

Summer brings laughter, splashing in the pool, bbqs and the heat of the sun.   Hydration is always important but even more so when the heat becomes extreme.  Try this orange-infused bubbly water to chase the heat away.

Summer Refresher
An orange infused bubbly water with a hint of mint and coconut. This is a good way to get an extra glass of water in your system.

Ingredients
  1. 1 can La Croix Cran-Raspberry Water or flavored unsweetened carbonated water
  2. 1 Orange
  3. Ice
  4. 1/4 tsp coconut extract
  5. Spring of Mint
Instructions
  1. Fill glass with ice
  2. Cut orange in half
  3. Juice one half of orange (remove seeds) and place in a small bowl
  4. Add the coconut extract in juice, stir and set aside
  5. Slice remaining half of orange
  6. Place juice into glass over ice
  7. Place several orange slices and mint in glass
  8. Pour the La Croix Cran-Raspberry Water into the glass
  9. Add remaining orange slices
  10. You can either stir or leave as is and enjoy the sweetness of the juice at the bottom of the glass
  11. Enjoy

Pull the ingredients together – juice 1/2 of orange and and add coconut extract –
