 Add a little banana and cinnamon to add smoothness and depth of flavor and you have an amazing breakfast or snack.  Ginger has many health benefits – stomach health, immune boosting, and anti-inflammatory.

Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk or water
  2. 3/4 cup of frozen peaches
  3. 1/4 cup of sliced frozen banana
  4. 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  5. 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  6. 1 serving of vanilla protein powder (I use Shakeology)
  7. 5 ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Blend all together. Sprinkle with cinnamon and Enjoy.
Notes
  1. A tsp of organic coconut oil can also be added.

Chocolate Banana Almond Smoothie

Years ago I was visiting friends in Bakersfield, California.  During our visit we went to an old-fashion ice cream parlor and there I had something that amazed my taste buds – A George Special Milkshake.  It had banana, chocolate, nuts and was crazy good.

I have taken those flavors and turned them into a protein smoothie.

Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup Silk Almond/Coconut Milk or milk of your choice
  2. 3/4 cup of filtered water
  3. 1 serving of Vegan Chocolate Shakeology
  4. 1/2 of a frozen banana, cut in pieces
  5. 1 tsp almond butter
  6. 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  7. 5-6 Ice Cubes
  8. Sliced Raw Almonds to garnish, if desired
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients except sliced almonds and blend until smooth
  2. Garnish with almonds if desired
Notes
  1. Adding more ice cubes will increase thickness

  1. 1 cup of vanilla unsweetened almond milk
  2. 1 Serving of Protein Powder
  3. Sprinkling of Cinnamon
  4. 1 Tbsp of Chia Seed
  5. 1 Tbsp of Ground Flax Seed
  6. 1 cup of frozen peaches
  7. 1 cup of fresh spinach
  8. 4-5 ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Blend together and enjoy.
Notes
  1. Chia will act as a thickening aid - so have a spoon available just in case.
